MISSION STATEMENT
Safe Passage strives to build networks of international schools and organizations that not only grasp the issues involved when lives are made mobile but also develop the capacity to address them effectively.
Doug's primary vehicle for pursuing this vision came through the establishment of the non-profit organization Safe Passage Across Networks (SPAN) in 2016. He completed his PhD in 2024, becoming a leading authority in the effect of mobility on attachment security.
Safe Passage schools and organizations understand that a commitment to systematic school- or organization-wide attention to the challenges of turnover and relocation is essential to the full realization of their missions.
